Christy, RN, BSN
Christy grew up in Southern California. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Wellness from Brigham Young University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Roseman University of Health Sciences. She worked at the hospital as a med-surge nurse before joining Dr. Deramo when he started practicing in Utah.
In her free time, Christy enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and family, catching up on a good show, shopping on Amazon, and baking.
Macie, RN, BSN
Macie grew up here in northern Utah on a farm in Kamas. After graduating from South Summit High, she pursued a degree in nursing at Southern Utah University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She started her medical career as a CNA in 2020, from there she worked her way up to an LPN in 2023 and finally an RN in 2024. For the first 5 years of her career she worked in long term care and hospice. She worked both on the floor and in management, specifically in admissions and infection prevention. Macie joined Deramo Plastics in late 2025 and works primarily at our Park City office. Outside of work she is a live music enthusiast, and when she’s not at a concert she loves spending time with her family and many animals.
Kara, LPN
Scheduler/Scribe/Chaperone/Procedure Nurse
Kara is our newest team member. She is a true utility player: our scribe, scheduler, chaperone, and assistant during office procedures. She joins us after working with retired physicians and plastic surgeons including the late Dr. Blayne Hirsche. She has a unique connection to Utah Surgical Associates: her father, Dr. Dick Thomas, was one of the group’s founders. She loves being a mom to her three children and the wife of a cowboy.
